The lifetime of the filter depends on the level of airborne particles it is filtering with each wear. Generally, though, the filters should not be used longer than 1 week. Filters should never be washed and reused.

PROPERLY MADE MASKS™ are fully reusable and washable. For best results, we recommend washing the mask once daily in cool water, by hand, with mild soap, and then air drying. If you decide to machine wash, we recommend washing in cool water, gentle cycle, with mild soap, placed it in a garment bag on gentle cycle, and then air drying. Our filter liners are not reusable and should be replaced weekly.
